Who can participate?

  • Current UF students, campus or online, and teams can be a hybrid of both.

  • You can indicate any development preferences; programming, design, art, story, or no preference.

How do the teams work?

  • You do NOT need to have a team already before the event starts; we will be forming teams with all the solo jammers on Friday, July 26, after the opening ceremony.

  • Before the event, searching for team members is as easy as visiting our #looking-for-team channel on the Gator Game Jam slack chat.

  • If you already have or are part of a team before the event, that is great too, and welcome.

  • Team members can be campus, online-only, or a hybrid of both – jam where you can!

What is the theme?

To be announced at a later date. Coming Soon!

Are there prizes

  • Yes! There are awards for three categories – Most Innovative, Masterful Code, and the grand prize ‘Gator Game Jam Hall of Fame’ award.

  • Prizes include framed award certificates along with other goodies (TBD soon).

Wait, Hall of Fame grand prize?

  • The best game of the jam will be awarded the Gator Game Jam Hall of Fame 2021 winner and will join past and future grand prize awardees in the Digital Hall of Fame where they will reside for future students, jam teams, and alumni to enjoy in digital persistence.
